You guys are awesome! We had 20 art projects and we had 21 claims! So I was able to match them all.
Assignments will be going out shortly. Both writer and artist should get an email; if you don’t get one, please let us know by replying here. If I’ve messed up and given you an assignment you didn’t claim – again, let me know asap.
Now, if you’re any good at math you will have noticed that the numbers don’t quite match up. No one is going to be without a project because out of those 21 claims three were doubles. But it does mean one writer hasn’t got all the assignments she wanted.
The minimum length for reverse bang projects is 2,000 words. I know that for some of us that’s a lot, but I also know that for some that’s a couple of hours work, max (if that’s you – I’m jealous!). Anyhow, what I’m getting at is this. If, when you’ve finished your assigned project(s), you feel like writing more, I want you to be able to go right ahead. So I’m going to leave the projects online until after our last checkpoint.
You must submit the projects you have been assigned first! But once you’ve done that, if you want to, you can look over the offered projects and pick another to write a ‘bonus’ project. I will add something to the submission guide to cover this but the criteria will be the same – 2,000 words inspired by the artwork. This is not a free-for-all – you can only take part if you’ve already completed an assigned project.
As always – if you have any questions please ask – Patt and I are here to help!
Best of luck with your projects.
